On Wednesday 24th June we had as great evening with the bright young things of Fife Youth Arts Hub over plenty of doughnuts. An evening of consultation was on the cards to discuss what Abbot House means to young people and what we can do get them more involved.

Charlotte gave the group a tour of the house and then they were left in an adult-free zone to brainstorm their ideas on ‘How could young people engage with Abbot House?’ and ‘What would attract young people to use the facilities?’.

They came up with some impressive ideas! From improv theatre, games nights, tasting evenings of our Brewhouse beers, getting local schools involved in helping design branding and marketing materials, taking on young interns, medieval banquets, designing an app for using to tour the house to using the house as a laser quest venue!

One things is for certain, there was plenty of food for thought! Now the super-exciting part of working with Fife Youth Arts Hub on some projects to make their ideas into reality!
